Today is the day we had nothing planned.
We all slept in (which I needed from the 15 hour day driving in Isle of Skye).
We walked down to the restaurant around 11 for breakfast but they already stopped serving (it’s the one place in Scotland that opens before 9!).
We decided to drive over to Aviemore to walk around.
They actually have a Walkers shortbread store here (although disappointed they didn’t have any cute tins we’ve been looking for).

We had lunch at the Cairngorms restaurant. I had a Halumi burger that was to die for!
Once we left, we drove over and did the hike around Loch An Eilein. It was a beautiful day out (and finally we had a day with no stairs!).
We were seriously at the point where we thought there wasn’t really a castle here! Turns out, if we went right off the car park instead of left, we would have seen it within 3 minutes!
Not sure how we missed this sign on the way in!
Tonight we’re just staying home and chilling - tomorrow we drive over to St. Andrew’s!
And unlike yesterday, we managed to get our 10k steps!
